STATE/REGIONAL:
Indianapolis - Indiana's school voucher program will likely see few changes this year despite the efforts of some lawmakers. Supporters of school choice would like to see one of the key elements of the current voucher program dropped. Students are required to try the public school system for one year before being eligible for a voucher. Efforts to drop that requirement have failed to move forward in the legislature this year. This year 39-hundred students received tuition assistance this school year and it increases to 15-thousand eligible students for next year.

An earthquake centered in southern Missouri shook parts of the Hoosier state on Tuesday. The 4.0 quake was centered along the New Madrid fault. An Indiana University geologist says the relatively small quake was felt along a broader area because of the soil composition of the area.
